Youth Opportunities
Registrations Open: LEAD 2021 – Online Youth LEADership Summit for 13 – 21 Year Olds
In late 2021, we’re running LEAD, an online youth leadership summit for our 13-21 year old members. Participants and facilitators are invited to register their interest to be involved in this project. We are only limited by the capacity of our virtual environment, and number of facilitators we have, so everyone is encouraged to apply!
Participants
We encourage all previous participants of YOU Courses in each Branch to apply, as LEAD is an extension to that course. If in your Branch there hasn’t been a YOU Course recently, applications are also accepted and we will verify your membership with your Branch.
Facilitators
We kindly ask current facilitator teams for the YOU Course, or previous LEAD Participants, from each Branch to get involved as facilitators for the online breakout rooms. Facilitators and participants over 18 will need to hold relevant Working with Children Check (or state/territory equivalent) and have completed the Child Safe Scouting online training module.
Dates
LEAD Course will be run online 6.30pm – 7:15pm AEDT on the following dates with the following topics:
- Wednesday 13th October 2021: Growing Myself
- Wednesday 20th October 2021: Reflection
- Wednesday 27th October 2021: My Life
- Wednesday 3rd November 2021: Goal Setting and Projects
- Wednesday 10th November 2021: The Challenge 2022
Once applications close, more details will be provided on how to connect to the online course. Registrations close Friday 8th October.
