Current Contingent Management Team Vacancies

Are you ready to take the next step in your Scouting journey? We’re excited to announce that applications are now open for a number of positions on upcoming Contingent Management Teams. These roles are open to all Rovers and Leaders, with opportunities for both experienced members and those looking to take on a new challenge.

Contingent Management Teams play a crucial role in shaping the experience of Scouts representing Australia at international events. From logistics and wellbeing to communications and program, every role contributes directly to the success of the Contingent and the experience of its members.

As the Deputy Contingent Leader, you will be part of the Contingent Executive and work across the team to plan an outstanding international experience for Scouts and Venturer Scouts from across Australia. You will support and mentor members of the Contingent Management Team to deliver a positive and rewarding experience for all Contingent members. A specific focus will be supporting and empowering young adults on our Contingent Management Team, in collaboration with the Contingent Leader, to support a pipeline of leaders for future Scouts Australia International Contingents. In agreement with the Contingent Leader, you will oversee two of the following portfolios within the Australian Contingent: Administration & Finance, Health & Wellbeing, Marketing & Communications, Program, and Operations.

 

As Program Lead, you will be part of the Contingent Management Team and work across the team to plan an outstanding international experience for Scouts from across the country. You’ll lead planning and delivery of the Contingent program, include pre and post tours. This will include oversight of the Program Team and booking and coordination of activities. You will work closely with the Assistant Contingent Leaders and the Youth Patrol to ensure our program is adventurous, fun, challenging and inclusive.

 

As Operations Lead, you will be part of the Contingent Management Team and work across the team to plan an outstanding international experience for Scouts from across the country. You’ll lead the transport and logistics functions for the Australian Contingent. This will include oversight of the Operations Team, booking and coordination of air and ground transport, booking and coordination of accommodation, and coordination of Contingent equipment.

 

As Marketing & Communications Lead, you will be part of the Contingent Management Team and work across the team to plan an outstanding international experience for Scouts from across the country. You’ll lead planning and delivery of our Contingent branding and marketing plan. This will include oversight of the Marketing & Communications portfolio and coordination of our brand, website, promotional materials and events, social channels, and newsletters.

 

As Health & Wellbeing Lead, you will be part of the Contingent Management Team and work across the team to plan an outstanding international experience for Scouts and Venturer Scouts from across the country. You’ll lead planning and delivery of health and wellbeing support for our Contingent. This will include oversight of the Health & Wellbeing Team and coordination of health and wellbeing support services for youth and adult Contingent members. You will work closely with the Contingent Leader, Deputy Contingent Leader, and your team to support the health and wellbeing of all Contingent members. This position is available to an experienced supporting adult. Professional qualifications and/or experience in the health and wellbeing space is highly regarded.

 

As Admin & Finance Lead, you will be part of the Contingent Management Team and work across the team to plan an outstanding international experience for Scouts and Venture Scouts from across Australia. You’ll lead the administration and finance functions for the Australian Contingent. This will include oversight of budgets and financial processes to support Contingent objectives and being a central point of contact for enquiries. There may at times be other administrative tasks as reasonably requested by the Contingent Leader.
