AJ2022 Appeal
The Lord Baden-Powell Society continues to raise funds through the Jamboree Appeal to help assist young people to experience transformative events like AJ2022.
The Lord Baden-Powell Society (LBPS) is a donor society within Scouts Australia. The Society also conducts fundraising through its “Jamboree Appeal” to support youth members in need to attend major Scouting Events such as the Australian Jamboree, Australian Venture and World Scout Jamboree.
All money raised in the Jamboree Appeal is distributed to young people who may not have otherwise had the opportunity to experience the transformative adventure of a Scout Jamboree.
The amount of money distributed to each event depends on the success of the Jamboree Appeal and the number of events being supported at any particular time. The Society’s first priority is to support national events.
Due to the generosity of our Members and others contributing to the Jamboree Appeal, the LBPS allocated $30,000 to support youth members attend the Australian Venture in 2018, and $100,000 for the Australian Jamboree in 2019. The funds get distributed directly to the Branches who in turn receive and administer all the applications for the funding support.
Our aim is to raise $150,000 by the end of 2021.
