EOI for International Team roles

Expressions of Interest for roles on the International Team are now open!

We’re looking for passionate, dedicated people who can work with a team and autonomously to get the best out of International Scouting and to support the work we do across the portfolio, including with Contingent Management Teams, Branch Friendship Tours, Programs and other projects.

At the moment, the following roles are accepting expressions of interest:

Assistant National Commissioner – Marketing and Communications (International)

The Assistant National Commissioner – Marketing and Communications role exists to support the International Team with the planning, design, facilitation, management and documentation of all International portfolio marketing and communication needs. The Assistant National Commissioner – Marketing and Communications will work closely alongside the ICoA and members of the International Team including the Deputy International Commissioner, Contingent Management Teams (CMTs), Branch International Commissioners (BICs), and Program Coordinators, among others to design and deliver a marketing strategy for the international portfolio and beyond.

 

Assistant National Commissioner – Engagement and Initiatives (International)

​The Assistant National Commissioner – Engagement and Initiatives role exists to support the ICoA with the facilitation, management and documentation of key projects in the International portfolio including Better World Framework initiatives, strengthening South Pacific Scouting and other special projects. Additionally, this role will play a role in engaging with World Organisation of the Scout Movement (WOSM) and the Asia Pacific Region (APR) and supporting coordinating Australian WOSM Consultants and representatives.

 

National Advisor – Finance (International)

The National Advisor – Finance role exists to support the planning, facilitation, management and documentation of financial aspects of international portfolio including creation and maintenance of Contingent budgets, finalising Contingent accounts, monitoring of finance tools and templates to ensure they support Contingents appropriately and other projects as required. In addition, the National Advisor – Finance may be called upon to provide advice and support to Branch International Friendship Tours (BFTs) if requested.

 

National Advisor – Health and Wellbeing (International)

The National Advisor – Health and Wellbeing role exists to support the planning, facilitation, management and documentation of health and wellbeing aspects of international portfolio. This may include but is not limited to providing, advice and support to Contingent Health and Wellbeing Leads/Teams in regard to Contingent member’s health, wellbeing and suitability for a particular event or activity; guidance and support for Contingent member; the development of tools and templates to ensure they support Contingents appropriately and other projects as required. In addition, the National Advisor – Health and Wellbeing may be called upon to provide advice and support to Branch International Friendship Tours (BFTs) if requested.

 

National Advisor – Risk (International)

The National Advisor – Risk role exists to support the ICoA with overseeing, coordinating and providing advice on risk assessments and mitigation strategies, supporting due diligence processes and continual improvement. Additionally, this role will play a role in developing the broader International Team’s understanding and utilisation dynamic risk assessment practices. The National Advisor – Risk may also be called upon to provide advice and support to Branch International Friendship Tours (BFTs), if requested.

All these are volunteer roles are open only to members of Scouts Australia.
The roles are also required to undergo a probationary period of 6 months to assess suitability to the position.
