Scouts Australia Institute of Training (SAIT) at AJ2025

The end of 2024 and beginning of 2025 saw SAIT busily prepare resources to enable Venturer Scouts, Rover Scouts and Leaders the opportunity to have their Scouting experiences at AJ2025 used as supporting evidence towards gaining an external qualification through SAIT.

AJ2025 saw the trialling of online enrolments with SAIT and the introduction of pilot versions of online learning plans to enable students to actively upload their evidence for recognition towards a qualification offered through SAIT in Cert II & III Active Volunteering and Cert II in Outdoor Recreation.

The uptake of the new online platforms saw 264 enrolments in Cert II and 233 enrolments in Cert III Active Volunteering and 137 in Cert II Outdoor Recreation. The finalising of assessments and the issuing of qualifications / skillsets has now commenced. 

SAIT successfully ran a drop in booth as part of the NatShack base at AJ2025. The booth allowed members to enquire and find out more about SAIT, existing participants to gain further support and Scouting supporters and the general public to find out about what pathways SAIT can offer in support of the Scouting Youth and Adult development programs.
