National Advisers

Applications Are Now Open

National Advisers play an important role in the coordination of networks of subject matter experts across Australia. Providing advice to multiple National Committees, Councils and Teams, Scouts Australia is seeking to appoint National Advisers to roles in ‘Creative and Performing Arts’ and ‘Diversity and Inclusion’.

 
Creative and Performing Arts

The Creative and Performing Arts play a major role in the development and expression of cultures and communities, locally, nationally and globally. Reporting to the Youth Program Commissioner Team, and wider National Youth Program Team, the National Adviser Creative and Performing Arts is tasked to promote creativity and the performing arts as essential and integral components within the Youth Program and, to provide subject specific knowledge, advice and support to the National Team in championing creative activities within the Youth Program.

Diversity and Inclusion

The National Adviser Diversity and Inclusion works as an adviser to the National Team to support Scouts Australia and its members to embrace the diversity of our communities and foster an inclusive environment that enables Scouting for all. Responsibilities of the role include coordination and support of the National Diversity and Inclusion Team; strengthening national policies, procedures, awareness and capacity related to diversity and inclusion; and supporting diversity and inclusion across the National Team and internationally.
