Applications for the Australian Contingent to the World Scout Moot 2025 in Portugal have now closed. Applications are still able to be edited through the Scouts Australia International Registration System (OLEMS).

Eligibility:

  1. Must be a registered financial member of Scouts Australia.
  2. Must be recommended as suitable to attend by your Group leader or next appropriate level
    of Commissioner and be approved by the Contingent Leader and your Branch Headquarters.
  3. Rover Scouts born between 26/07/1999 and 25/07/2007 attend as Participants.
  4. Adult Members born before 26/07/1999 participate as an International Service Team (1ST) Member

The World Scout Moot is a world event that brings together Rovers and young leaders from different countries and regions. It promote cross-cultural exchange, understanding, and friendship.

With the stunning landscapes and vibrant culture of Portugal, immerse yourself in a global community of Scouts united by a shared spirit of adventure and service. Get ready to make memories that will last a lifetime. Join us as we represent Australia on the world stage and showcase the true spirit of Scouting!

From the 25th of July to the 3rd of August 2025 as part of the contingent you will experience the wonders of international scouting and cross-cultural exchange as we look to cross boundaries and meet new people. The Moot is split into two parts: the Portugal Deep Dive and the Main Camp. as well as an Opening and Closing Ceremonies. On the Deep Dive, all participants will follow their path and take the most out of the experience of living in a local community, engaging with others and deep diving into the Portuguese culture in an international team. Your journey on the path will eventually lead you to the Main Camp Experience where you will engage with many Portuguese traditions and crafts as well as showcase Australian culture and experiences.
