Moot2025
The 16th World Scout Moot will take place across Portugal from July 25th 2025 till August 3rd 2025. The Opening Ceremony takes place in Lisbon in the morning on July 25th and then you will travel to your individual path experience. On July 30th all participants will travel from their path to the Main Camp which goes until August 3rd. The Closing Ceremony is in Porto in the north of Portugal and will bring Moot2025 too a close.
WHAT IS THE MOOT?
The World Scout Moot is a world event that brings together Rovers and young leaders from different countries and regions. It promotes inter-cultural exchange, understanding, and friendship. The Moot is designed for young adults with ages between 18 and 25 years old. It takes place every four years and is a unique and enriching experience. The Moot features a wide range of activities and programs, including outdoor adventures, cultural exchanges, community service projects, and educational workshops. These activities are designed to promote personal growth, leadership development, and intercultural learning. The Moot is a significant event in Scouting: it promotes the principles of the World Scout Movement, fosters international cooperation, and provides young adults with a unique and unforgettable experience. It also encourages participants to become active global citizens and ambassadors
Australian Contingent
All Australian Contingent members attending as International Service Team (IST) will need to arrive in Lisbon in the evening on July 23rd. Accommodation for this evening is provided by the Moot. July 24th for IST is an information/training day in Lisbon.
Participants are required to have arrived in Lisbon before 1pm on July 24th. In the afternoon, the entire Australian Contingent will meet in Lisbon for the Contingent Launch event. Exact details will be confirmed in the coming months.
