Scouts Australia is sending a Contingent to the 23rd New Zealand Jamboree in December 2023 – January 2024. Applications to join this awesome adventure are now open!

Attending a New Zealand Jamboree is an outstanding introduction to International Scouting. Set in one of the most picturesque countries on the planet, Australian Scouts will be offered a program of outdoor adventure and cultural immersion that will deliver a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Travel Itinerary

The Australian Contingent will gather in Auckland on 28th December 2023 for a few days of patrol-based activities before travelling to the Mystery Creek Events Centre for the opening day of the Jamboree on 30th December 2023. The Jamboree runs until Sunday 7th January 2024 and the Contingent will return to Australia on Monday 8th January 2024.

An optional post tour offering the best of the New Zealand north island will be on offer for members of the Australian Contingent. The post tour runs from Sunday 7 January 2024 till Sunday 14 January 2024.

Location

The Jamboree will be held at the Mystery Creek Events Centre, Hamilton. The Jamboree site is around two hours south of Auckland.

Eligibility

Scouts, Venturer Scouts, and adult Leaders are eligible to attend the 23rd New Zealand Jamboree. Find the eligibility criteria here.

Applications close at midnight (AWST) on 19th February 2023. Applications must be fully submitted, and deposits paid by this date.
