There is a lot of important information you need to know about our upcoming trip! We presented a lot of information at our recent O-Days across the country. You can view the slide packs from the O-Days below if you need a refresher on any of the information presented.
Weather in the Swiss Alps can change quickly, and participants need to be prepared to camp and hike in rain, hail, shine, and maybe even snow! Taking the time to plan your gear will help ensure you are prepared for all the adventures KISC will throw at us, and make sure you are able to participate fully in your activities.
As we prepare to leave for KISC it’s important to think about what we can do now to make sure we are healthy and ready to go! One of the best ways we can make sure we have an amazing time in KISC is by preparing appropriately and ensuring our bodies and minds are ready for travel. Our Health and Welfare team have put together some suggestions of things you can do now to get yourself ready to travel!
With the Contingent’s travel dates from July 1 – 13 2023, you may be missing some time at school or university while we’re at KISC. Although outside a classroom, participating in KISC100 will be a once in a lifetime learning and personal growth opportunity.
We have prepared a letter for you to provide your school/teachers to explain your absence during this period and share how KISC100 will be a fantastic learning opportunity.
KISC has a range of awards you can challenge yourself to complete during our stay! The award badges are available from the KISC reception for those who are interested.
To help you keep track of the various KISC awards and their requirements Sarah from Unit 1 has put together a fantastic resource to share with you all! Sarah has been hard at work making a mini-book with all the KISC award information you will need to know. You might like to save a copy of Sarah’s booklet to your phone, or print a copy to take with you to KISC.
